Ireland Freight Forwarding Services was opened in 1967 as NIAF (Northern Ireland AirFreight) making its foundations at the early stages of development of Belfast International Airport.

The company founded itself on providing exacting transportation solutions to customers based in Ireland and soon further afield to America, Canada and the Far East. The main core activity was the movement of traffic globally to manufacturing bases and then the movement of finished product to customer outlets.

This core business has developed the company's strength in purchasing power with the main airlines, British Airways, KLM, Luthansa and the Irish National Carrier Aer Lingus. Being the largest customer of the carriers was a business concept developed by our Chairman and Group Managing Director. With the matrix complete IFS offer the most competitive buying power and control over apace allocations.

The concept facilitates all aspects of the business and enables flexibility where necessary for price and above all reliable service, IFFS have a full track and trace facility and Global Multinational representation to over 500 offices world-wide in over 140 countries. Ireland Freight Forwarding Services are not only the number one IATA agent in Northern Ireland but have also won the BIFA freight service award for airfreight two years back-to-back. This highly prestigious award is given to only six forwarders throughout the whole of the UK and is based on customer service and product innovation as well as performance.
