Nov 2009

IFS Global Logistics is now an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) part of an internationally recognised quality mark which indicates that our role in the International Supply Chain is secure, and that our customs controls and procedures are highly efficient accurate and fully compliant.

After lengthy application and an extensive audit process conducted by an external HMR+C audit team covering the entire range and location of the business,   IFS Global Logistics   has  been authorised as an AEO operator and certified as a Combined HMRC Simplifications/Security and Safety Authorised Economic Operator (AEO).

This initiative is part of a coordinated approach by the EU to help drive heightened Security throughout  the international supply chain and ensure customs controls and procedures are kept at the highest standard of accuracy and security.

As well as signifying to customers ( importers and exporters ) that our controls and procedures are compliant, it underlines our ability to gain access to certain simplified HMR+C  customs ,  safety and security procedures. As well as endorsing our ability as a major Logistics Operator to provide and run regimes such as ERTS facilities, Type-A customs bonds , and CFSP to name a few.
IFS's AEO authorisation number:  GB AEO/F/00063/09
