The basis of vendorvillage.com was to develop a system which holds inventory for companies near their manufacturing base, whilst not part of their balance sheet. When they require stock they order it online, and within two hours the stock is picked, packed and delivered from our state-of-the-art warehouse, right onto the production floor, as if it had come out of the company's own store. Both the supplier and end-customer have full visibility of inventory, including online tracking via the Internet. Once the stock has been ordered the system informs the supplier to replenish the stock and raises an invoice, which makes sure payment has been made promptly.
